Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Yamil Morales, LLC wants yamilmorales.com to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they rely on. Accessibility is treated as part of the engineering work on this site, not an afterthought.

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard we build and review against. We do not claim formal certification; we treat it as a working target that guides design and development decisions.

Measures in place

The following measures are implemented in the current version of the site:

• Full keyboard support in the booking calendar: dates can be navigated with the arrow keys using a roving-focus pattern, and month changes are announced to screen readers through a live region.
• ARIA roles and labels across interactive components: for example, the timezone selector is a searchable combobox with proper listbox and option roles that closes with the Escape key.
• Focus management in dialogs: the booking modal traps focus while open and returns it to the triggering button when closed.
• Alternative text on meaningful images, with decorative icons hidden from assistive technology.
• A logical heading hierarchy and semantic landmarks on every page.
• A design system with color tokens chosen for readable contrast between text and backgrounds.
• Animations that respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting: users who opt out of motion see static content instead.
• The page language declared for each version of the site (English and Spanish), so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Known limitations

This site is under active development, and its content and components change frequently. Despite our review process, some pages may contain issues we have not yet identified or fixed. Known limitations include:

• Embedded third-party content (such as the Stripe embedded checkout and the PayPal payment components) is rendered by those providers and may not fully meet the same accessibility standard.
• The site has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit; accessibility is reviewed internally as part of development.

Compatibility

The site is built to work with current versions of modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) on desktop and mobile.

It is designed to be compatible with major screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS) and with keyboard-only navigation. Older browsers without support for modern web standards may not provide a complete experience.
